Go Hashimoto

Go Hashimoto is an attorney specializing in cross-border transactions and dispute resolution, as well as government relations matters with a focus on the Japan-US and Japan-EU relations.

After graduating from college, Mr. Hashimoto started his career at the Export-Import Bank of Japan (currently known as the Japan Bank for International Cooperation) as part of the team responsible for Japan’s financial assistance to Central and South American countries. Then, after completing graduate schools in the United States, he has worked at US and Japanese global law firms in New York City and Tokyo.  He is currently a Senior Partner at Atsumi & Sakai.

In addition to the corporate M&A transactions and dispute resolution matters, Mr. Hashimoto has been active in national security matters such as cybersecurity, defense and export control.  He heads the national security practice group of his firm, the first of its kind at Japanese law firms.  He currently also serves as Standing Auditor of Cyber Risk Information Center and teaches cybersecurity from a legal perspective as an adjunct lecturer at Tokyo Denki University. 

He holds an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo, an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an M.I.A. from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
