BAE Systems plc is a British multinational arms, security, and aerospace company based in London, England. It is the largest defence contractor in Europe, and ranked the seventh-largest in the world based on applicable 2021 revenues. As of 2017, it is the biggest manufacturer in Britain.
Modeling the Future
Accelerating Design in the Aerospace and Automotive Industries
Event Date : June 25, 2024 (Tuesday), 13:00
From the automotive industry, which is required to further shorten model development times while responding to trends such as electrification, automated driving and SDV, to aircraft-related companies that are required to launch new commercial aircraft projects and develop defence equipment, many engineers are racing against budget and time to develop mission-critical products. development of mission-critical products in a race against budget and time. To meet the challenges of developing these increasingly complex system products, there is a growing focus on model-based systems engineering (MBSE), which can manage complexity, reduce risk and bring products to market faster and within development budgets.
In this seminar, Ansys will present case studies of MBSE in the automotive and aerospace industries using several Ansys tools. Among them are the use of MBSE in the development of batteries for EVs, eVTOL, an example of aircraft development by the automotive industry, and the optimisation of design parameters by connecting SysML models and analysis models for the design of communication equipment between satellite constellations, ground stations and drones. The case study will also cover the design of communication equipment between a satellite constellation and a ground station/drone.
Ansys’ Elite Channel Partner Cybernet MBSE Ltd. will also present a case study on the use of MBSE in drone type certification, as well as an introduction to a consulting service that can support customers who are actually working on MBSE from the SE (systems engineering) phase. MBSE is a consulting service that can provide support from the SE (Systems Engineering) phase for customers who are actually working on MBSE.
In addition, a presentation on Sim AI, Ansys’ AI technology, will be given as an introduction to the latest technology.
Ansys SimAI, a new ultra-fast AI-based solution delivered on a secure cloud, is designed for users without coding experience or deep learning expertise, and combines AI/ML models with physics-based simulation to significantly accelerate design work and create original product designs. It combines AI/ML models with physics-based simulation to significantly accelerate design work and contribute to creative product design.
The solution can improve model performance prediction by a factor of 10 to 100 during the design phase by performing fast and accurate 3D predictions based on accumulated simulation data from the past.
We look forward to welcoming a wide range of customers from the automotive and aerospace industries as well as those interested in the latest MBSE and AI-related technologies.
